Gonzalo Santamaría joined Marval O’Farrell Mairal in 2009 and is currently a partner of the Energy and Public & Administrative Law departments. Gonzalo’s areas of expertise are primarily Energy Law as well as other regulatory matters. Gonzalo’s electricity practice includes advising power generators, project developers, EPC and BoP contractors, turbines and panel suppliers, private off-takers and financial entities, among others. Chambers & Partners has ranked Gonzalo as Up-and-Coming Partner in Energy & Natural Resources: Power, Legal 500 as Next Generation Partner and Business Today included him in the Top 10 Lawyers in Energy & Natural Resources of Argentina. He graduated from the School of Law of Universidad de Buenos Aires with a specialization in Corporate Law in 2008 and took a Master’s Program on Law and Economics at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, Argentina. In 2013 he attended the University of Texas at Austin as an international exchange student.
