Atlas Lithium Prepares Modular Processing Plant Shipment to Brazil

Atlas Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ: ATLX), a prominent player in lithium exploration and development, has announced a significant milestone as its modular dense media separation (DMS) lithium processing plant is ready for shipment from South Africa to Brazil. This development highlights the company’s commitment to advancing sustainable lithium production and reducing project risk.

The newly constructed plant, built in South Africa—a global leader in high-quality and cost-effective mining equipment—is scheduled to be shipped on January 31, 2025. The shipment will include 141 containers and 10 bulk items, transported via a chartered vessel. Notably, the entire plant has been fully paid for, underscoring Atlas Lithium’s robust financial planning and strategic execution.

Once operational, the plant will be the first modular DMS facility of its kind in Brazil, reinforcing Atlas Lithium’s role as an innovator in the country’s lithium processing sector. Its compact and efficient design offers a host of operational and environmental benefits, setting new industry standards.

Innovative Design and Environmental Responsibility

The modular DMS plant incorporates cutting-edge design elements that distinguish it from traditional processing facilities. Key features include:

  • Compact Design: The plant’s reduced height, weight, and footprint simplify installation and operation.
  • Water Efficiency: Advanced recycling systems minimize water usage, achieving industry-leading conservation.
  • Streamlined Logistics: Modular components enable easier transportation, installation, and commissioning.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Dry stacking of tailings eliminates the need for tailings dams, reducing environmental risks.

“Our modular DMS plant is a testament to Atlas Lithium’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and sustainability,” said Eduardo Queiroz, the company’s Project Management Officer and Vice President of Engineering. “By combining advanced design with environmental responsibility, we are setting new benchmarks for operational performance and eco-conscious practices.”

Advancing Toward Production with Reduced Risk

Atlas Lithium’s CEO, Marc Fogassa, emphasized the strategic advantages of the plant’s financial and operational readiness. “A mining company’s capital expenditure for production is one of its greatest risk factors. In our case, we have significantly mitigated this risk by ensuring the plant is fully paid for and titled to Atlas Lithium. This positions us strongly as we approach production.”

The plant’s groundbreaking design not only enhances efficiency but also underscores the company’s dedication to sustainability. According to James Schloffer, a member of Atlas Lithium’s Operations Committee, “Brazilian lithium concentrate is highly competitive globally due to its superior quality and low production costs. This plant represents a significant step forward in delivering a sustainable, high-quality product to the market.”

A Greener Future for Lithium Production

With its state-of-the-art modular DMS plant, Atlas Lithium is poised to lead Brazil into a new era of sustainable lithium production. The company’s efforts demonstrate that innovation and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand, setting a precedent for the global mining industry.

As the shipment makes its way to Brazil, Atlas Lithium continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in the exploration and development of environmentally responsible lithium resources.
