João Paulo Braga is economist from UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais), master in Administration and specialist in Economic Development from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. Previously Director and current CEO of Invest Minas, he led negotiations that have already enabled R$370 billion in new investments for MG, including multiple projects in energy, mining, agribusiness, as well as global brands such as Heineken, Amazon, Midea, Mercado Livre, among others. He is at the forefront of Minas Gerais' strategy to promote investments in strategical minerals, such as lithium, rare earths and silicon. As CEO of Invest Minas, he was awarded by the United Nations for his excellent work in promoting investments for the energy transition.
